WIFI HOTSPOT IN WINDOWS 8&8.1 COMPUTERS

HOW TO CREATE WIFI HOTSPOT IN WINDOWS 8&8.1 COMPUTERS/LAPTOPS BY COMMAND PROMPT

'updated'

INTRODUCTION

To enable wifi hotspot in any computers, will be a great success when you use broadband connections.
I should say that, the method which iam describing is very useful and it only take upto 1or2 minutes.Trust Me.For this you should have a working internet connection and windows8/8.1 os.This can also be done in windows7,xp,etc..but here im only giving the instructions for which i had mentioned above.

  1. First you should have installed your wifi drivers. You can check it in your device manager.
  2. For that you go to control panel>device manager>network adapters. There you will see wifi drivers.
  3. So now you are in to the proccess

STEPS

  • FIRST AND FOREMOST YOU SHOULD CHECK THAT YOUR PC HAS THE ABILITY TO ENABLE WIFI HOTSPOT
For that you should open your command prompt to have a check. So in the search box type cmd.You will see the command prompt and to use it as administrator you just hold the CONTROL and SHIFT key and press enter.so you will see it as the way in the image seen below.

Now type 'netsh wlan show drivers' and press enter.it is seen below.

After hitting enter you will see an image as seen below and make sure that it it say> 'hosted network supported-YES' it can be seen from the image below.if it says no,then you cannot make hotspot.if it says yes then you are ok and you are in the game :).

now after completing this step you type>netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=yourssid key=your password it can be seen from the image.
Create hotspot networki in Laptop

NOW YOU ARE FREE TO GO
if your system shows like this then follow this command>"netsh wlan start hosted network".thats it and you will see that the hostednetwork started.Create Hotspot using command prompt

so your hotspot is created successfully.
it can be seen in the network sharing centre.

AFTER THIS you should share your internet.for that take your ethernet properties and click share.
so now you will get the required wifi from your laptops

ERRORS

  • may be after you type command 'netsh wlan start hosted network' it may say that something like-The hosted network couldn’t be started .
The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation .this is because  your virtual adapter is disabled,so you should enable it.For enabling it you should open device manager and click show hidden.so you will see this driver after going through network adapters.then repeat the process.

  • may be after you type command 'netsh wlan start hosted network' it may say that something like-“The wireless local area network interface is powered down and doesn’t support the requested operation.”This is because you just did not turn the wifi ON.so turn your wifi on before doing this.
  •  Check  the status of the hosted shared connection that 'IPV4 shows INTERNET.if its ok then you are done with it.if its not then just disable and enable the ethernet connection.

WINDOWS 9

update to be released in April 2015: Report
Microsoft's next version of OS, Windows 9, is expected to arrive by April 2015, and is said to be a part of the Windows "Threshold" wave of updates, according to a report.MicrosoftWindows81.jpg
Microsoft will allegedly reveal its Windows 9 OS version at the company's Build 2014 developer conference, scheduled for April this year, and release it a year later. The exact changes in the proposed OS version are not clear as of yet, but the "Metro 2.0" feature in the OS version is said to focus on enhancing Microsoft's new apps and tiles.
"Maturing and fixing the "Metro" design language used by Windows will be a major focus area of Threshold," stated Paul Thurrot, a popular Microsoft blogger. "It's not clear what changes are coming, but it's safe to assume that a windowed mode that works on the desktop is part of that," he added.
The Start menu may also make a return on Windows 9. It might also arrive early as a second update to Windows 8.1 OS (a.k.a Windows Blue).
Microsoft is said to be in the final planning stages for its Windows 9 and further plans to introduce three key development points in the conference for its next year's OS version. Since the firm is in final planning stages, the work on the OS is expected to commence right after the Build conference.
Thurrot further adds that the firm is set to move away from its Windows 8 criticism and as a result, is planning to give it the name of Windows 9 instead of Windows 8.2 or any other name related to Windows 8. "To distance itself from the Windows 8 debacle, Microsoft is currently planning to drop the Windows 8 name and brand this next release as Windows 9. That could change, but that's the current thinking."
